So my S13 still needed to be registered so I called them up yesterday asking what I needed to do to complete the registration. All I had left to do was to bring in the title and that was it =).
I was supposed to go to Riverside today to visit Anthony, but that got moved to tomorrow, I’ll be meeting him in Rowland Heights instead.
So now having a huge chunk of time available, I decided to go to the DMV in Fullerton. I checked up on the website to see the current wait times and it said 19 minutes, not bad. I was hoping since it was rainy day that less people would be at the DMV and that held true. As I pulled into the DMV parking lot I was ecstatic to see that only about 30% of the parking lot was full. I parked WAAAAY in the back ( to avoid doordings and BS =D) and noticed there was a black IS350 with some Volk GT7’s on it. Unfortunately the sizes on it were poo and the car was 4×4 + motorhome status.
So I went into the building, got my little number, i was B351 and the number was already at B346 w00t =D. I only waited about 10 minutes and was called up =). I handed the lady the car’s title and incomplete registration form but she kept messing with her computer. Apparently her computer monitor had gone out and so had the next 2 computers next to hers. I guess its an apparent problem, the fuse blows out on their power strips or something.
So she asks me to move on down to another dude and he finally got all my stuff situated =).
So yay =D, my S13 is officially registered =), and its step 1 to getting my ass back into the drift game. I plan to do one thing for the S13 each week to get the car ready for Top Drift Battle next year =).
Next week I am going to go check up on the S13 and see if the battery can be recharged.. If not I will have to save up and buy a new battery.
Sorry long post, I tend to write a lot if I’m happy, hmm.. I guess I should direct this energy towards my paper on Willow Springs.
